Coco-Mat Athens BC

Best for: Design lovers, sustainability, Acropolis views

I’ve stayed at Coco-Mat Athens BC multiple times and it remains one of my favourites. While it’s a shame their rooftop pool is no longer in use, this hotel still delivers in every other way. If you book an Acropolis view room, you’re in for something truly special - at night, when the Acropolis Museum lights up, it feels like you’re inside the museum itself. The location is fantastic and the service is always on point. This is the top pick if you want to be close to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum.

Coco-Mat Kolonaki

Best for: Chic travelers, Kolonaki lovers, ultra-comfy beds

A great choice for those who want to stay in the upscale Kolonaki district, surrounded by high-end boutiques, cafés, and galleries. As with all Coco-Mat hotels, you’ll get an incredible night’s sleep on their signature natural-fiber beds. A personal favourite of mine having stayed at both the Kolonaki and BC.
