WELCOME TO ATHENS

Athens isn’t just a city, it’s a vibe. A mix of ancient and modern, where the Parthenon watches over a city that never stands still.

Mornings start with the smell of Greek coffee and koulouri from a street vendor, while the streets hum with locals catching up over a freddo. Wander past ancient ruins, pop into tiny Byzantine chapels and lose yourself in boutique-lined laneways.

By night, Athens transforms. Rooftop bars glow under the Acropolis, tavernas spill onto the streets and dinner is a slow, spirited affair. Plates of meze, flowing wine and conversations that stretch into the night.

For me, Athens is more than a destination, it’s a homecoming. From the moment the airport doors slide open, when the heat hits and the scent of the city tinged with lemon and sea air envelopes you. A priest in a black robe strides past, the sound of Greek all around me, yiayias fussing over their grandkids. And then, that spine-tingling moment -the Acropolis, standing timeless above it all.

This guide isn’t just about where to go - it’s about how Athens feels. Every place I’ve included is personally chosen for its design, authenticity and atmosphere. Whether you're sipping coffee in a historic café, exploring ruins or catching a rooftop sunset, I want you to experience Athens the way I do.

Let’s explore Athens together.
